2022 Championship Heads South to Lake Okeechobee

LAKE WALES, FL- Xtreme Bass Series announced dates and location for the 2022 Xtreme Bass Series Championship at the 8th Annual Toys for Tots 4 Man Open held December 5th at Camp Mack, a Guy Harvey Lodge, Marina, and RV Resort.

The 17th annual championship of the Xtreme Bass Series, the largest grass roots tournament trail in Florida, will be held at Lake Okeechobee November 3rd-5th out of C. Scott Driver Park. Banquet meeting and dinner will be held on Thursday, November 3rd. All qualified and registered anglers will compete during both days of competition Friday November 4th and Saturday November 5th. The 3 day event will be the culmination of the 2022 Xtreme Bass Series, a 12 division circuit that allows for close to home events, offering top payouts, low team entry fee, and the opportunity to compete for a new bass boat package at the end of season championship.

Located in the southern part of Florida and spanning 448,000 acres, Lake Okeechobee is the states largest lake, and the 10th largest lake in the nation. The fishery has been the site of previous Xtreme Bass Series Championship events and was last held on the waters of Lake Okeechobee in 2018.

With an abundance of lodge accommodations, campgrounds, and home rentals, Lake Okeechobee is home to world class fishing, hunting, and outdoor sports. Days Inn Pier II Resort will serve as the host hotel for the 2022 Xtreme Bass Series Championship.

The 2022 Xtreme Bass Series will consist of 12 divisions across the state- Central Florida, Citrus, Garcia, Harris Chain, Istokpoga, Johns Lake, Kissimmee, Lochloosa/Orange, Rodman/St. Johns, Suwannee River, Tarpon, and Toho. Each division will consist of 9 events during the season. To qualify for the 2022 Xtreme Bass Series Championship, teams must compete in 7 of 9 events in one division, or 8 events in a combination of divisions.

Points champions from each division will compete against each other during the championship for the title of Team of the Year. Teams who win the Team of the Year honor will receive no-cost entries into a division of their choice the following season, a $1,080.00 value.

Any team who competes in 12 or more divisional events will be entered into the Frequent Fishing Program and will compete against all qualified teams during the championship event. The highest finishing team within the Frequent Fishing Program will win the Michael J. Blocher Memorial Award and a $500.00 cash prize.

Membership into the 2022 season is $35.00 per angler. Entry fees into divisional events are $120.00 per team. Championship entry is $300.00 per team.
